2003 Hedges Family Estate Single Vineyard Limited Merlot
Tasting notes
Dark, almost black, color. Clean, powerful, vibrant blackberry and black cherry fruit aromas with slight floral notes, seamlessly balanced by toast, vanilla, cocoa and spice aromas. I love the smell of this wine! The mouthfeel is rich and full with a great balance of dark, vibrant fruit and toasty, spicey oak flavors with a touch of smoke. This is a big merlot that is able to balance intense concentration and plenty of structure but still have the softer feel of a merlot.
