Deep, dark color. Creamy, dark fruit, predominantly blackberry and cassis with hints of black cherry and violets, balanced by toast, spice, vanilla and brambly, herbal hints . Medium full on the pallet with brambly darker fruit, toasted oak, vanilla and hints of smoky black cherry. The finish is brooding, long and well structured. The acid is fairly lively for a Red Mountain Cabernet.

Harvest Notes: 2006 was a great year in the vineyards. Mostly even temperatures and little wind and rain during bloom made for nice set. The summer was hot, but not too hot, and typical fall ripening conditions of warm days (80-85) and cool nights (45-50) began in mid-September and continued through October. Our philosophy of picking at optimum flavor maturity saw us picking later maturing Cab the last week of October. Another great vintage from Red Mountain.
