Aroma / flavor: mandarin / lemon custard / crushed rock / spicy pear / toasted hazelnut

Cellaring: For optimum fruit flavors and aromas, drink now. The higher acid in this wine should keep it drinking well for up to 15 years.
Grapes are from Les Gosses and Hedges Estate vineyards. Picked on 9/22 and was pressed to both new and neutral barrels. After primary fermentation completed, the wine went through partial malolactic fermentation while being lees stirred once a day every three days until desired texture was achieved. The wine was fermented in 28% new French oak, 14% new Hungarian oak, and 58% neutral oak, then aged in 100% neutral oak until bottling.
Harvest notes: 2024 started off with a hard freeze in mid-January with highs in the single digits for a few days. The vines are resilient and we didn’t see too much bud damage. Spring to fall was fairly normal, but we did see a bit more humidity than we are used to in our desert climate. Temperatures began to cool as harvest started and we saw some nice ripening days throughout September and October.
