Hedges Red Blend: Bursting with bright ripe red fruits and a plethora of mixed dried spices leaning towards cinnamon, clove and ginger powder. A little bit of coffee, aged leather, moist earth and a kiss of vanilla make for an intriguing mix of aromas. The palate starts off with bright tartness that is immediately balanced with a smooth, long finish
HFE Cabernet Sauvignon: Very pretty, magenta color. A lot of black fruits, cloves, cinnamon bark, cedar, black pepper and honeyed figs with a touch of vanilla and cocoa. The palate is rich and full, with a surprisingly long mid-palate. The flavors are a mix of spicy and sweet with hints chicory, chocolate, blackberry and cinnamon. This wine lingers on both the aroma and palate and it’s one that will have you wishing you had another glass to pour after the bottle is empty.
DLD Syrah: A stellar Syrah. A wonderful balance of sweet and savory, fruity and smoky. There is a hint of tart reddish blue fruits, some graphite, toasted spices, crushed graham cracker and rosemary shortbread. Flavors of toasted spice and blueberry muffin are lifted into your mouth with a bright acidity and then they linger on your palate with a long and balanced finish. This wine is refined and worldly, but with a distinct sense of place.
