About A Bit of Happiness Farm:
The animals started in January 2020. Fern was our first, a dwarf lamb that needed a home. My husband came home to Fern in our house with a diaper and a bottle. But there was a goat from the same farm that needed a home as well. And then there was a lamb that was found in a field that wouldn't take a bottle and needed extra attention and care, Ivy. Fences and shelters were built, animals kept coming. Fergus was a registered sheep that needed a home, but to take him we needed a farm name to transfer his registration. And so A Bit of Happiness Farm was properly named to reflect what it meant to us.
Enter Covid, March 2020. Thankful we had animals to entertain our family of 6 we invited friends over to help everyone get out of the house and stay safe. A few months later someone mentioned us on Facebook about things parents and kids could do around town. Requests to visit started coming in and over night we became a LLC, created a website and organized visitations so that people could safely visit during the pandemic. People came and continue to come and we love every minute of it. We are slowly growing and changing to help needs of families. Being able to offer a safe place for people to relax and enjoy fills our hearts and is what we were meant to do.
